Sally Byrd, a seasoned banking veteran, has been in banking management for over twenty years. She has held positions with some of the nation’s largest, most successful banks. However recently, Sally decided she wanted to work with an organization that was more community focused which allowed her the opportunity to use her talents to help local businesses well beyond traditional banking. In early 2015 she joined First Citizens Bank as their Vice President & Financial Sales Manager. This position has afforded Sally the opportunity to work within the community and provide the resources the local businesses have been asking for.
In addition to her work with First Citizens Bank, Sally has long been involved in the community volunteering for nearly thirty years. Some of the organizations she has dedicated her time to include, The March of Dimes, The D.A.R.E. program of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department and Junior Achievement.
Sally served on the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce for fifteen years, including Chairman for two years. In addition, she served on the Board of Directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for fifteen years, including two of those years as President.
In late 2015, Governor Rick Scott appointed Ms. Byrd as the Commissioner of the Palm Beach County Housing Authority and she currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Sally is currently a member of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, the Executive Trustee Council for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches Board of Trustees.
